Denise O'Keefe suggested visit the tallest lighthouse in the Southern hemisphere, there were many shipwrecks around King Island including the Cataraqui where hundreds lost their lives on the way to a new life in Australia You can follow the shipwreck trail and View the only visible remains of a wreck on Yellow Rock beach.

Denise O'Keefe suggested have a picnic at Penny's Lagoon a suspended lake, wallabies abound on the Island along with turkeys pheasants possums, Visit our magnificant beaches You won't have to share too much and Visit the rugged Seal Rocks area and view the Calcified forest remains of a 7000 year old ancient forest uncovered by the sand.

Denise O'Keefe suggested Step back a pace Visitthe king Island dairy and sample some of their delicious cheeses, have a close encounter with the local penguins, Visit the local art galleries, drop in at the Currie boathouse called the restaurant without any food You provide the food the rest is there, try some of the delicious crayfish in season and Visit the kelp Industries display and see what happens to all that sea weed.

Denise O'Keefe suggested Enter the Imperial 20 Coast to coast Foot Race in March, be around to welcome the yachts in from the Queenscliff to Grassy race in March, Try out the local Golf course which wanders along the coast and Come and visit in December January when we hold our horse racing season.
