Twenty minutes away are Hotels, Cafes, Wineries, Restaurants, Art and Craft, Galleries, Golf Club and swimming pools.
Yanakie has a general Store which is well stocked with groceries, alcohol, newspapers, meat, etc etc.
Yanakie also has an airport with charter flights and charter fishing/scenic boats, canoeing is available also, so for those who prefer to see all this area has to offer by sea or air this can be done.
| Yanakie is the town that borders onto the Northern side of Wilsons Promontory National Park. Wilsons Prom is one of Victorias ( Gippslands) most loved parks and the area and surrounds are known as Prom Country it has fantastic beaches, abundant wildlife which include wombats, echidnas, kangaroos, emus, wallabies plus many more, the birdlife in the area is also abundant.
| The many walking tracks in the Prom offer fantastic scenery and colourful rock formation. The mountains of Wilsons Prom offer great everchanging colour displays and have great sunrises coming up over the Wilsons Prom Mountains. The many well maintained walking tracks are good for all with long and short walks or many areas just to stroll around and take in all the beauty the park has to offer.
| Other attractions around the area are many beaches including Shallow Inlet, Sandy Point, Corner Inlet, Waratah Bay, Port Welshpool, these are all great for swimming, recreational fishing, hiking, surfing, or just strolling along and having a paddle. Agnes Falls, Tarra Bulga National Park, Toora Wind farms are also good spots to visit while down here in this beautiful area.
